OSCA to Send FY-08 Municipal Court Statistics to Municipal Court Staff for Review

Every year the Office of State Courts Administrator (OSCA) publishes fiscal year (FY) court statistics in the Missouri Judicial Report Supplement. In accordance with Supreme Court Operating Rule 4 -- Uniform Record Keeping System, Municipal Divisions are required to report monthly caseload, warrant, and collections data to OSCA.  Excluding those communities where municipal cases are heard in Associate Circuit court, these data are summarized and, since FY05, included in the annual Missouri Judicial Report Supplement. Past reports are available under the Statistics section of Missouri's Judiciary website at http://www.courts.mo.gov/.

OSCA staff prepare a draft of the Municipal Division court summary statistics which are to appear in the Missouri Judicial Report Supplement. In mid to late September, the draft report is mailed to municipal judge(s) and clerk(s) for his/her review.  If you do not receive a copy of the draft report, please contact the OSCA Help Desk at 888-541-4894 to request one. In addition, a copy of the draft report is sent to the Presiding Judge of the relevant circuit.

OSCA requests your help - Municipal Judges - to ensure that complete and accurate case and accounting records are being maintained, submitted to OSCA, and published in the Missouri Judicial Report Supplement. Policies and procedures pertinent to court record keeping and statistics are available in the Municipal Clerk's Handbook. If you have any questions or concerns about municipal court reports or statistics, please contact the OSCA Help Desk.
